Understanding Aviation
The art of operating an aircraft or designing, producing and keeping them in good condition is known as Aviation. The Aviation industry is huge and India is a third largest and fast growing Aviation market in the world. As per the Civil Aviation Ministry, India will have more than 140 million passengers in FY2024 alone. India to handle over 1.3 billion passengers annually in the next 20 years. Hence the need of Cabin crew will increase with upcoming times and that’s the reason this industry is most Lucrative.
India is witnessing the highest footfall at the airports and the airlines. Thus to mitigate the passengers needs during their travel, our Indian Government started building the infrastructure along with new airports in different cities and adding new terminals to the existing airports.

The sector generates economic growth, facilitates tourism and international travel, and creates widespread jobs. These factors increase the national wealth of any country therefore; measures are taken to improve the aviation sector.
DGCA and its functions
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation abbreviated as (DGCA) is the regulatory body in the field of Civil Aviation primarily dealing with safety issues. It is responsible for regulation of air transport services to/from/within India and for enforcement of civil air regulations, air safety and airworthiness standards. It also co-ordinates all regulatory functions with International Civil Aviation Organization, headquarters are located in New Delhi with regional offices in the various parts of India.
